We are very excited to announce our "R" litter, bred late December, out of Apple v. d. burg Austerlitz OFA and sired by Brego v. Arnoux OFA CERF. We are expecting large puppies with good structure and naturally handler focused, affectionate, and out going temperaments. Saddle marked black and tan and saddle marked sable are possible. This breeding features two OFA Excellent dogs in the first two generations (Brego and Hasso) in addition to all the other hip certified dogs spanning back to the 1950s. Also of interest is the number of dogs who were OFA Certified at advanced ages including: Amy and Haylee OFA good at 60 months or older, Esko and Connie OFA at over 4 years, and Aggi v. d Datze who was OFA Good and Elbows normal at over 8 years of age! We value in our program dogs whose health extended beyond the age of minimum certification (12 months for "a", 24 months for OFA) and we place special emphasis on dogs who show robust health as older dogs. This helps ensure the puppies we breed will be active and health members of their families for many years.

Brego vom Arnoux OFA |
Brego is a beautiful son of V1 Dryker v. Wilhendorf SchH3 IP3 FH1 and his pedigree features many of the top VA dogs from the USA and Germany, including those hard to find VA females. On his dam line he goes back to our beloved Frisco and Quinta, two of our favorite dogs. Brego is a very large and powerful male with exceptional masculinity and strength of bone. Brego has very good structure and despite his modern sire line he shows none of the structural extremes of angulation currently popular in European show lines. Despite his large size Brego is an athletic dog of great endurance. Brego is an outgoing dog, friendly by nature, who is good with children. Brego is very tolerant of other dogs, he is a great puppy trainer, and he shows no male/male aggression. He is a good natured dog with a happy and eager to please temperament. Becca is currently training Brego for his working titles and he is progressing nicely in his work. We expect to start competing with Brego in 2012. |

We have high expectations for Apple's progeny. Apple has a strong German working line pedigree featuring many German greats from years past. Apple is a product of two of our favorite dogs, Hasso and Jackie, and we expect her to pass many of the great traits of these dogs on to her puppies. Apple is an outgoing and happy dog who loves nothing more than spending time with her family and playing with her dog friends. Apple is a natural athlete, who is often described as the rubber ball dog for her amazing acrobatics while playing. |
