Lucy is a daughter of our wonderful Gibsy. Gibsy, who has now passed at the advanced age of fourteen, was a perpetually happy dog with a sunny outlook on life, and we must say that her daughter Lucy shares this cheerful disposition. Lucy has never had a bad day and she greets every day with a joyful enthusiasm that is contagious. Lucy is only too happy to do whatever is asked of her and she has enjoyed training in herding, agility, schutzhund, tracking and obedience but the last of those is her strong suit. Lucy is an attentive, happy worker in obedience and she quickly learns every new skill. Lucy and our daughter Becca recently earned the AKC Canine Good Citizen Certificate and despite this being Becca's first attempt at "competition" Lucy, with her natural handler focus, made sure everything went perfectly. The two had a great day. Becca is looking forward to entering obedience (USA and AKC) competitions with Lucy in 2009.

Like her sire and dam, Lucy is a very correct dog in structure. She has strong bone, rich red pigment, firm top line, and a freight train-like running trot, with none of the excess angulations being seen in some of the modern show lines. She is a beauty and a natural athlete. We look forward to years of enjoyment from our happy-go-lucky Lucy.
