We loved the Monti puppies from our "L" litter (Monti x May) so much that we purchased Monti from our good friends at Avorow and he now resides permanently with us at Austerlitz German Shepherds. Thanks Lorri, we just LOVE him!
What we love the most about Monti is his happy and upbeat outlook on life. Monti is a confident and outgoing dog who is very social, cheerful, and comfortable in all situations. Monti is also good with children, other dogs, and it not dog aggressive.
Monti is an upper medium sized male who is well suited for our large home-bred females. Monti has strong bone, a beautiful and naturally high wither, and correct angulation front and rear. Monti is masculine without being heavy and he is naturally very athletic.
We love Monti's striking color, he is a heavily black factored black and tan (aka bi-color) with rich red pigment and lovely tiger stripes on his toes and hocks.
Imported from Germany Monti's pedigree is loaded with Germany's finest producers and Bundessieger Prufung (Germany's National Schutzhund Championship) competitors and champions. He has close up lines to: Bandit vom Oberhausener Kreuz, Boy vom Pendelbach, Gildo Korbelbach, Falko Haus Sindern (V-LGA), Troll bosen Nachbarschaft. Also of note are WUSV World Champion Fado Kathargo and legendary producers Harro Lechrainstadt (V-BSP) and Fero Zeuterner Himmelreich (V-BSP).
Here at Austerlitz Shepherds we place special emphasis on pedigrees that feature the harder to find, yet so important, top competition and producing females of the GSD world and we're happy that Monti's pedigree features an abundance of world famous females:
V Fanta vom Haus Westfalen-Stolz who was twice SG in the Bundessieger (high scores an impressive 94 points tracking, 98 points obedience, and an amazing 98 points protection)
SG Juma vom Petze also SG in the Bundessieger on three impressive trips to this competition. Juma's high scores are also amazing, 98 points tracking, 94 points obedience and the Excellent score of 97 points protection. Both Fanta and Juma descend from the foundation line of VA Bernd vom Lierberg.
Umsa vom Bungalow who was twice rated V (Excellent) and twice an amazing third place among hundreds of top male dogs with scores of 99/96/99 and 97/96/99. Two times 99 points in protection, Wow!
Finally the foundation female for the Kathargo Kennel and producer of an amazing number champions Afra Stoppenberger Land who also appears in the pedigree of many of our home-bred females rounds out Monti's fabulous pedigree in the fourth generation.
We are very pleased to be adding Monti to our breeding program. We expect him to bring his own confident temperament, happy disposition, strong work ethic, athletic structure, and robust health (Monti is 'a' normal with a ZW of 78 and at the age of 70 months, nearly 6 years old, passed OFA with Hips rated Good and Elbows rated Normal!) on to his progeny.
